Two-and-a-half year old Gabriel Danielson has tears in her eyes as she is reunited with her father, Sargent Major Douglas Danielson, 39, of the 1st Battalion, 178th Infantry Division of the Illinois Army National Gaurd. The 178th has been deyployed in Afghanistan for the past year and returned home Monday, August 3, 2009 at Soldier Field.





Baltimore art rock/experimental band Ponytail performing at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago. While the fans went crazy and the set was highly reviewed, the music wasn't quite my style. The group's antics made for some good shots though. The bottom shot of lead singer Molly Siegel was published on the front of the Chicago Tribune's Live section Monday, July 20.
