Lima Locos (#173)

Part-way through the high school baseball season, my fellow Lima News photographer Jay decided shooting the pitcher over and over was getting boring, so he decided to start shooting the catcher. He captured an image of a cloud of dust flying off the catcher's glove as he caught a pitch, and we have both been trying to capture the ball just before it disappears into the catcher's glove ever since.

I win.

Youth Sports (#169)

Now that it's summer and high school and most organized sports are done here in Lima, the sports section is doing continuous coverage of youth sports in the area. Basically, it's feature-hunting sports-wise. But it's been pretty fun.

Saturday June 12, family, friends, and fans gathered at the Neil Armstrong Museum (in Wapak) in support of Kent. The first photo is Kent's sister, Shelby Boyd, 14, sporting a "Vote Kent Boyd" button and T-shirt.
